The
HD6 is a hand held metal detector for person search
and similar applications.
It is designed to withstand extended periods of rough
usage and it provides high levels of sensitivity. The
SMT electronics are housed in a slim, rugged, weather
proof case. The unit may be supplied with a stainless
steel belt clip for military use or a wrist strap for
civilian applications.
The detector is suitable for use by any security personnel
in airports, seaports, conferences, exhibitions or any
other situation that requires screening of people.
It may also be used as a general purpose metal detector.
The HD6 is particularly easy to use having only one
on/off switch, all other functions are automatically
self setting. A green LED shows that the unit is switched
on and also flashes to indicate a low battery. Target
detection is signalled by an audio tone and also illuminated
red LEDs on both sides of the detector housing..
The electronics are assembled and tested using computer
controlled equipment for a high degree of reliability.
Power is supplied by one LR61 9 volt battery.
